Jio summer surprise offer terminated by TRAI
Under the offer, its subscribers are entitled to get free services for next three months, starting April 15.
The new telecom player, a part of oil-to-logistics conglomerate Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) had on September 5, 2016 launched commercial telecom services under a three-month promotional Jio Welcomeoffer which in December extended as Jio Happy New Year offer till March 31.
Reliance Jio added that it accepts this decision.
"Jio is in the process of fully complying with the regulator's advice, and will be withdrawing the 3 months complimentary benefits of JIO SUMMER SURPRISE as soon as operationally feasible, over the next few days," the company added.
However, all customers who have subscribed to JIO SUMMER SURPRISE offer prior to its discontinuation will remain eligible for the offer.
